GHIRL Network was founded on a simple, powerful belief: every girl — no matter where she was born — deserves to know her worth, unlock her potential, and see a future full of possibility.
Oyin Akinsanmi is a Nigerian-Canadian entrepreneur, author, and social advocate whose life's work is centred on helping people — especially girls — see themselves the way God sees them: worthy, capable, and full of purpose.
As the author of Make It Happen and The AI Bender, and founder of multiple community initiatives, Oyin bridges the gap between faith, identity, and practical action. She launched GHIRL Network in 2024 after witnessing firsthand how limited access to mentorship, resources, and affirmation was keeping girls in rural communities from stepping into their potential.
Oyin lives at the intersection of two worlds — Africa and North America — and uses that vantage point to build bridges of opportunity for the next generation of global female leaders.
We deliver structured, curriculum-driven programs that address identity, well-being, leadership, and vision — creating ripple effects through families and communities.
From Nigeria to Canada to Ghana and beyond, GHIRL Network is planting seeds of identity and purpose that will bear fruit for generations.
Every girl is treated with the highest respect. Our programs affirm inherent worth regardless of background or circumstance.
We encourage girls to face fear, take up space, and lead — even when it feels uncomfortable or unfamiliar.
Personal development is a lifelong journey. We create environments where girls can grow at every stage.
No girl rises alone. We build networks of support, mentorship, and sisterhood that last beyond our programs.
Rooted in the belief that every girl is purposefully made, we guide them to discover the call on their lives.
We measure success not just in numbers, but in transformed mindsets, broken cycles, and futures reimagined.
From rural communities in Nigeria to diaspora youth in Canada, GHIRL Network meets girls where they are.
Our flagship programs serve girls in rural and semi-urban communities across Kogi, Lagos, and Abuja. We partner with local schools, churches, and community organizations to reach girls who need us most.
Based in Toronto, our Canadian chapter supports girls in the African diaspora community — bridging cultural identity with the opportunities of a new homeland. We also serve as our global coordination hub.
We are actively laying the groundwork for our first West African expansion outside Nigeria. Partner with us to make Ghana a reality.
